Neil Waravdekar, MD
Pulmonary Disease/Sleep Medicine
Dr. Waravdekar (pronounced as "war-of-decker) is a Frederick County native and grew up in Ijamsville. He attended the Frederick County public schools and graduated from Thomas Johnson High School. He attended the University of Maryland where he got a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He subsequently attended Hahnemann University (now part of Drexel University) in Philadelphia, PA where he earned his MD degree and did his internship and residency. He then went to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where he completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship. He returned home in 1995 when he joined Frederick Medical and Pulmonary Associates and has been with them since.
He is on the medical staff at Frederick Health Hospital (formerly FMH) since 1995. He has held medical staff leadership positions there over time. In the past, he has been Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Chief of Staff, FMH Board Member and Frederick Regional Healthcare System Board Member. He is currently Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Chairman of the Credentials Committee and Medical Director of the Respiratory Care Department. He is also the Medical Director of the Frederick Community College Respiratory Care Program.
Dr. Waravdekar lives in Frederick County. He is married and has four adult children all who are FCPS and Penn State graduates. In his time away from work he enjoys spending it with his family. He is an avid NASCAR fan.
Michael Tolino, MD
Pulmonary Disease/Sleep Medicine/Critical Care
Dr. Tolino grew up in Woodbury, NJ outside of Philadelphia. He attended Georgetown University where he received a B.A. in English. After college he worked in the exporting business before returning to medical school at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. He completed his internship and residency at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University. Dr. Tolino’s pulmonary and critical care fellowship was completed at Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Tolino is married and has 2 sons in college. He enjoys skiing, reading, and travel.
Dr. Tolino also enjoys all aspects of pulmonary medicine. His practice is open to new patients.
Phuong D. Ho, MD
Pulmonary Disease/Sleep Medicine
Dr. Ho grew up in Gaithersburg, MD. He then attended the University of Maryland. He went to medical school at Penn State University with the medical campus located in Hershey, Pennsylvania
He then spent completed his internal medicine internship, residency and chief residency at the Washington Hospital Center. He spent a few years as a hospitalist then returned to do a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Washington Hospital Center.
He came to FMPA in July 2013 and has enjoyed serving the Frederick Community since then.
He is a happily married husband and is the proud father of a girl and boy.
He enjoys Star Wars, reading and taking vacations with his family. He proudly supports Maryland athletic teams despite those teams not being particularly good.
